Sometimes a picture really is worth a thousand words.
I have had some extra time lately… Really I don’t know if its extra time or if it is just that I am not making time to do the things I really need to do. Maybe I am just in a funk… Which given our upcoming milestone it’s been almost 18 months since Jody grew his wings, this might just be what I need!
But I came across a blog. Titled Dear Stevie… Started by a mom, Kristin, whose daughter was born sleeping on August 15, 2010. See her post Dear Stevie
In loving memory of her Angel Stevie I will start project 365… To take her words…
So beginning today, I am going to take and post one picture, everyday, for the next 365 days. By September 28, 2011, I will have 365 pictures that represent 365 day’s worth of feelings and experiences.
“We have told you about Nurse Dana… Lately she keeps popping in to our house through newspapers, neighborhood announcements and many other ways. We have to believe she will be with us when LR is born! Or we pray that she is!”
“So this is LR’s coming home outfit… We took great care in picking it out, now it’s hurry up and wait!”
I have been making breakfast potatoes forever! They are by far Jennifer’s favorite breakfast, and on occasion Joey’s too!
I have to be honest, these sit on my desk as a reminder that she is HERE! It really still has not sunk in that she will be here in just 5 more weeks…
I have been hoping for a change in weather recently. It is still blazing hot in Phoenix… Today my wish came true!
I know it’s silly, but it just started pouring. I have so been waiting for the rain and the cool down.
Today I guess I am fresh out of words… First off on the picture I cheated. This is an old picture, it’s one of the lilies we planted around Jody’s tree. But so fitting. I try not to talk about other Baby Loss Mama’s… today my heart is just breaking. Amy and Finn are the precious Angel twins of a dear friend. One who I have just come to adore. Yesterday they went to join their brother and sister in heaven. So today I deserve a cheat, because documenting the years journey this is part of it. My prayers are with Zoe and her family as they celebrate the life of their wee ones and mourn their four angels taken too soon.
Okay, so I am a tiny bit late. But honestly our internet was down last night. Jennifer spent hours in the kitchen making an animal cell. She was very precious while concentrating so hard to make the thing perfect!
Not to brag or anything, but I was the winner this round!
Today we gathered with family and friends to celebrate the pending arrival of LR. We were so blessed to be surrounded by love.
I am behind, Sunday was a difficult day for me being Jody’s 18 month anniversary. But I have still been taking pictures just not getting on the computer to post. So here is me playing catch-up!
When Jody was born the hospital staff placed a sticker on our door. Though the sticker was beautiful it indicated we had suffered a loss. I felt like we needed something on our door, consistency is key for me since Jody. So I made a ribbon wreath, nothing special this indicates we have a new arrival!
So we have back to back birthdays! Joe celebrated his day yesterday and well mine is today! I woke up to this sign on the cabinet! Tee hee hee!!!
Today we had an opportunity to see precious LR again! We weighed in at a whopping 6lbs 11oz… just amazing we have watched her grow so quickly.
So yesterday we were at B&J’s and Joe was talking about this chair. Once he said there were 6 cup holders I had to call “bull-shit”!!! Boy was I wrong, we got quite the laugh out of it today!

Honestly... I have 3 weeks left and this is a picture of the only place I want to be! October 17, 2010
Ahhh… my own little slice of paradise!!! This is really where I would like to spend my next 3 weeks!
Joey gets a little board, so this weekend while Jennifer was away at a sleep over he made pigs in a blankey! To show off his talent he made Jennifer dinner to night! She is not too happy because she and hotdogs are not fond of each other!
Whoppers!!! Need I say more?!?! Sad to see the box empty!
I love love love seeing rainbows… The meaning alone of God’s message. But more so because each time I see them I think of precious Jody…
Might be two days in a row, but I am telling you I LOVE them!!!
Thank goodness I have only 12 days left… I do not know how much bigger this belly can get! Happy Anniversary to my sweet husband! He is just perfect for me and even more he knows me better then anyone. I am blessed!
As a special request Joey asked to go to Ihop for breakfast. Know why? Why no other reason then they have a pancake that has candy corn! It was funny!
Mondays have been difficult on me, but honestly when greeted with this sunset leaving the house who could be ungrateful for Monday?
For the most part Joey is pretty good! But man can it get boring for the little guy when his sister is dragging him from store to store! We finally have her costume… FINALLY!!!!
Pretty funny, I busted Jennifer with socks and flip-flops! Just wrong!!!
Buster… AKA the Couch King…. He is just precious!!!
Holy smokes… I have been pretty bad about posting!!!
We have been visiting Dr. A weekly to monitor LR. Today is our last test! We are scheduled for Monday to induce… Come on Monday!!
At room 321 about ready to deliver LR… This is the room Jody lived his entire life in.
Angelina came to visit us at the hospital today and took this picture. Julianna is 17 hours old in this picture. (forgive me for I have cheated!)
A moment we have waited for over the last 9 months. She is home!!!
We were worried about Busters reaction to having a baby in the house. But he seems to be pushing her right out of the way!
It’s Veteran’s Day and I have missed a few posts. Forgive me as I have had not sleep. Our neighborhood is decorated so beautifully for these holidays.
Not the best picture, but she looks so cute!!!
Jennifer has been soaking in her sister… As Kathy (Grandma) would say these two girlfriends are just lovely…
Please forgive me for being behind. With Julianna, work, home and everything else going on thing are a little overwhelming. I will keep posting just not daily.

These guys truly smell. You can't see the cows but if this were a scratch & sniff you would know their there! December 1, 2010

Karly made her arrival today! The girls are just 27 days apart. We are so happy for our friends Kim & Bobby... Bobby's caption to this picutre was Best friends and they don't even know it! December 3, 2010

Our 30 day well visit. 9lbs so she has grown. Not looking forward to her 2 month shots... December 6, 2010

I am doing a similar project right now, we are now 29 days in and I love it! Here is the link to the pictures that have been posted thus far, there are 3 that haven’t been added yet…http://envisage2010.blogspot.com/search/label/Tracey
I am not far into the project yet but, I already love that I can look back and see the pictures and once you look at them it brings back all the memories of that day, your feelings, the events and people you are with. Good Luck with it!!!
Oh Tracy! I just went to look… What beautiful pictures!

what a wonderful idea;-)..and what a beautiful picture of you and jody;-)
Carla- what a wonderful idea. I love catching up with your blog and always wish you the best in this pregnancy. I am still struggling and maybe if you don’t mind I will start my own Project 365…especially since over the next year my life is going to change in so many ways with so many uncertainties I think it would be neat to keep track of everything we go through. I have the birth of Kaleb to look forward to and hoping he will come home from the hospital, and so many emotions to get out there. Let me know what you think!
Erin, I am so not in charge of Project 365… I think I would encourage you to do it. Kaleb has been in our prayers and I always look forward to your updates. Do you have a blog???
Carla- I think I’ll start one up for myself. I have a blog and Kaleb has a caringbridge website. My blog is; http://erinandbean.blogspot.com/
and the caringbridge is; http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/thejourneyofnemo
My blog is more for my emotions and the caringbridge is more for medical updates for family and friends. I think I’ll start the project 365 on my blog soon. My camera was dead today when we went to our specialist appointments, darnit!
